Follow-up solutions for print services on track

The first phase of public tenders for the takeover of the standard range and examination printing was successful. The project team was able to define a shortlist of printing companies that can now submit a concrete offer by July. The plot on demand (PLOD) service will be handed over to an external operator in December.

The objective of the call for tenders is to find printers who can continue the ETH's printing services externally from 2025. The call for tenders is expected to start in the coming months. Repurposed: former ammunition depot becomes ETH warehouse

Due to an acute lack of space in the centre, the Department of Earth Sciences was looking for new storage space. Together with the Ó¢»ÊÓéÀÖ Services storage team, a former army ammunition depot has now been converted. Over thirty Euro pallets are already stored in the new high racks.

Important changes to parking at ETH Zurich

The ETH Link will run on electricity from the beginning of the semester. Starting on 14 September 2020, electric articulated buses will link the H?nggerberg campus with the Zentrum campus. The Print and Publish webshop has now produced a number of templates for communicating the emergency operation requirements. This new offering is tailored to the needs of ETH members and is constantly being expanded.
Free delivery of print orders
For ETH members and students: Print and Publish is introducing an extended dispatch of printed matter from the web shop by post. This service takes effect immediately and will run throughout the corona period.
Getting help or support
A pool of helpers has been set up to help members of the ETH community who are under extra stress due to emergency operations. Volunteers are constantly being sought for this.

Honorary lecture by Fields Medal winner Alessio Figalli

At the start of August, Alessio Figalli was awarded the Fields Medal. This distinction is often referred to as the Nobel Prize for mathematicians and is a cause for major celebration.
